1972, Salvador, Brazil
Lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil
Dedé Lins (1972, Salvador, Brasil) works merging art and design. From the last discipline he takes the technical and conceptual tools that allow him to transform and operate with a symbolic, systematic and synthesizing purpose.
Currently, he uses mainly adhesive tape and ink, creating a geometric dialogue of features and colours, as a result of the fusion of contemporary influences such as design, fashion, pop art and street-art. Moreover, Lins is aesthetically influenced by African art being very present in the Afro-Brazilian culture of Bahia.
He has participated in numerous solo and group shows in Salvador, Barcelona and Menorca, and in 2010 he attended an artistic residency in Angola during the Second Triennial of Luanda.
