Renato Lins

1972, Salvador, Brasil

His work merges art and design. From this discipline he brings the technical and conceptual tools that allow him to transform and operate with a symbolic, systematic and synthesizing purpose.

Currently, he uses mainly adhesive tape and ink, creating a geometric dialogue of features and colors, a result of the fusion of contemporary influences such as design, fashion, pop art and street-art. The artist is statically influenced by African art being very present in the Afro-Brazilian culture of Bahia.

He has participated in numerous collective and individual exhibitions in Salvador, Barcelona and Menorca, and in 2010 he attended an artistic residency in Angola during the Second Triennial of Luanda.
